Mistra C2B2 online breakfast club: Incentives for Offshore Multifunctionality – an overview of EU practices

Incentives for Offshore Multifunctionality – an overview of EU practices

Meet Karina Barquet, SEI

What tools have European countries employed to facilitate multiple activities in maritime spaces? Which sectors are adopting multifunctional approaches most frequently, and which European countries are leading in the adoption of these methods? These are the questions that will be explored by Karina Barquet, Senior Research Fellow and Team Lead for the Water Coasts & Ocean group at the Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI). As part of the C2B2 program, Karina Barquet leads Living Lab East (Baltic Proper), and conducts research on innovative practices to address goal conflicts in the offshore space. In this seminar, she will present preliminary findings from ongoing C2B2 research, shedding light on the emerging tools and leading examples in multifunctional maritime approaches across Europe. The seminar lasts between 08.30 and 09.30. No pre-registration required.
