New address for Mistra Urban Futures

When Mistra Urban Futures moves to new premises in Gothenburg, it goes without saying that the move takes place in a sustainable way. Most of the furniture and fittings are second-hand and have been reused creatively.

Since the New Year, Mistra Urban Futures has occupied new premises at Läraregatan 3 in Gothenburg. With several conference rooms and workstations for guest researchers, the people engaged in the centre’s various projects are now better able to liaise and interact in their research on sustainable towns and cities.

In line with the purpose of the initiative, most of the interior is second-hand and has — with the help of the 4Cycle company — become a creative, comfortable office environment. Antique chairs have, for example, been reupholstered in fabric from used coffee sacks and, instead of newly purchased furniture, an old leather sofa and rugs are in use.
