Unique environmental symposium at the Royal Palace

In March, the King will host an interdisciplinary, future-oriented environmental symposium at the Royal Palace. Fourteen researchers who have held ’Royal Environmental Professorships’ will take part.

On 22 March, the King of Sweden is to host an interdisciplinary, future-oriented symposium on global sustainability entitled Faith in the Future: How Science can Help in Meeting Environmental Challenges, at the Royal Palace in Stockholm. The 14 researchers holding current ’Royal Environmental Professorships’, spending a year at Swedish higher education institutions as visiting professors, are attending the symposium. Mistra is one of the funding providers.

About a hundred leading people in research, business and politics have been invited. The symposium will be the first get-together for these 14 environmental professors, and expectations of the occasion are high. The symposium is intended to provide visions for the future and show ways in which knowledge contributes to a more sustainable society.
